The Launcher ("the app") is an Android launcher application developed and maintained independently. This Privacy Policy describes what information the app collects, how it is used, with whom it may be shared, and what rights you have as a user. By installing or using The Launcher, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the app and uninstall it from your device.
1. About The Launcher
The Launcher is a personal productivity tool designed to replace the default Android home screen. It is independently developed and published, not backed by a corporation or advertising network. The Launcher is committed to providing a clean, fast, and private experience — which means no advertisements, no behavioural tracking, and no selling of user data, ever.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Android application only. It does not apply to any third-party services, websites, or platforms you may access through links within the app.
2. Information The Launcher Collects
The Launcher is designed with data minimisation in mind. Only the information that is genuinely necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the app is collected. The following categories describe what may be collected and why.
2.1 Device Information
When the app is installed and used, certain technical details about your device are received automatically. This includes the device manufacturer and model, the version of the Android operating system running on the device, and the version of The Launcher currently installed.
This information is used solely for technical purposes — to diagnose bugs, ensure the app functions correctly across different Android devices and OS versions, and to prioritise compatibility updates. Device information is not used to identify you personally or to track your behaviour.
2.2 App Usage Data
The Launcher may collect anonymised data about how the app is used. This may include which features are accessed, layout or theme customisations applied within the app, frequency of certain interactions, and crash logs or performance diagnostics generated when the app encounters an error.
This data is collected in aggregate and is never tied to an individual user profile. It is used exclusively to improve the stability, performance, and usability of the app over time.
2.3 In-App Purchase Information
The Launcher offers optional premium features available through in-app purchase. All payment transactions are handled entirely by Google Play Billing or another authorised payment provider. The Launcher does not receive, process, or store any payment card numbers, billing addresses, or other financial information. Any purchase history associated with your account is managed directly by Google Play under their own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2.4 Support and Contact Information
If you contact The Launcher for technical support, to report a bug, or for any other reason, you may voluntarily provide personal information such as your name or email address. This information is collected only to respond to your inquiry and is not stored beyond what is necessary to resolve your request. It is not linked to any other data collected by the app.
3. How The Launcher Uses Your Information
The information described above is used only for the following specific purposes:
App functionality and maintenance — To ensure The Launcher operates correctly on your device, including delivering updates, fixing bugs, and maintaining compatibility with new Android versions.
User experience improvement — To understand how features are used in aggregate, identify pain points, and guide future development decisions that make the app better for everyone.
Purchase and subscription management — To verify and activate any premium features you have purchased, and to manage the status of any active subscriptions.
Technical support — To respond to questions, bug reports, or feedback you have directly submitted.
Legal compliance — To meet any obligations required by applicable law, where necessary.
The Launcher does not use your information for any advertising purpose, does not perform behavioural profiling, and does not make automated decisions based on your data.
4. Data The Launcher Does Not Collect
To be explicitly clear about the limits of data collection:
The Launcher does not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other directly identifying information unless you voluntarily provide it through a support inquiry.
The Launcher does not collect your location data, GPS coordinates, or region-level location.
The Launcher does not access, read, or collect the contents of any files, messages, photos, or media stored on your device.
The Launcher does not monitor which other apps you use, when you use them, or for how long.
The Launcher does not collect any data for advertising, marketing, or commercial profiling purposes.
5. Advertising and Analytics
The Launcher does not display advertisements of any kind. The Launcher does not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs or analytics platforms.
The free version of The Launcher is ad-free. There are no banner ads, interstitial ads, rewarded ads, or any other form of advertising within the app. The Launcher does not integrate any third-party advertising networks such as Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, or similar services.
The Launcher does not integrate third-party analytics platforms such as Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any equivalent service that collects and transmits your usage data to external servers for commercial analysis.
If this policy ever changes — for example, if analytics are introduced in a future update — this Privacy Policy will be updated clearly and in advance, and users will be notified within the app before any such change takes effect.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
The Launcher does not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to any third party under any circumstances.
Your information may be shared in the following limited situations only:
Service providers — The Launcher may use a small number of trusted technical service providers to support app operations, such as hosting or infrastructure services. Any such providers are contractually required to process data only as directed, only for the purposes outlined in this policy, and are prohibited from using it for their own commercial purposes.
Legal requirements — The Launcher may disclose information if required to do so by a valid legal process, court order, or applicable law. Disclosure may also occur if there is a good-faith belief that it is necessary to prevent fraud, protect the safety of users, or defend against legal claims.
Outside of these two circumstances, no information is shared with any external party.
7. Data Retention
The Launcher retains collected data only for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy. Technical and usage data used for performance improvement is retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised. Support communications are retained only until the matter is resolved, after which they are deleted.
You may request deletion of any data associated with your use of the app at any time by contacting The Launcher directly (see Section 10).
8. Data Security
The Launcher takes the protection of your information seriously. Reasonable and industry-standard technical and organisational measures are implemented to protect data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
However, it is important to acknowledge that no system of data storage or electronic transmission is entirely free from risk. While every effort is made to safeguard your information, The Launcher cannot provide an unconditional guarantee of security. You are encouraged to keep your device software up to date and to contact The Launcher promptly if you suspect any security issue related to your use of the app.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your country or region of residence, you may be entitled to certain rights regarding your personal data under applicable privacy law, including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union, or other regional equivalents.

Right to erasure — You may request that your personal data be deleted, subject to any legal retention obligations.

10. Children's Privacy
The Launcher is not directed at children under the age of 13, and no part of the app is designed to appeal to or collect data from children. The Launcher does not knowingly collect personal information from any person under the age of 13.
If it comes to the attention of The Launcher that personal data has been inadvertently collected from a child under 13, that information will be deleted promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information through the app or a support channel, please contact The Launcher immediately using the details in Section 10.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in the app's features, legal obligations, or data practices. When updates are made, the revised policy will be published within the app and on the associated website, and the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document will be revised accordingly.
For significant changes that materially affect how your data is handled, a prominent notice will be provided within the app prior to the change taking effect. Your continued use of The Launcher after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. You are encouraged to review this policy from time to time.
